Agricultural society comes from agricultural revolution, and so does industrial society. With rapid development of information revolution and information technology in the late of 20ieth century, human society comes stepedly into information society. Based on the characters of information, knowledge, internet, information society appears distinguishing features in the fields of politics, economy, culture, military affairs and ideology compares to agriculture society and industrial society.Beginning with the basic meaning of creative thinking, this thesis analyses the objectivity and necessity of researching creative thinking in information society in the first part. Then in the second part, it strongly analyses the characters, mechanism, function and application of creative thinking.In information society, information and knowledge have been the strategic resource and essential factors on which the development of society and economy bases. And Man, as the carry-body of knowledge resource, is the subject of creating knowledge, spreading knowledge and applying, of knowledge. So the central competition in information society is about the competition of talent, especially the competition of talent with creative thinking. To train talent with creative ability depends heavily on creative education. Then in the third part, this thesis points to several factors affecting creative thinking and further analyses the importance of developing creative education. Meanwhile, it puts forward to some regarding measures.
