The thesis mainly conducts a check and analysis on the Xiesheng errors in Yayin-word part of the book Guang Yun Sheng Xi ,with 101 errors checked as a total .In addition ,in order to assemble examples with same characters ,illustrate their respective features ,and manifest the reflected regularities ,the thesis makes a classification on the error examples.The examples are classified into 8 categories according to their distributions in the Xiesheng System .Category 1 to 4 are pictophonetic charaters which have been mistaken as non-pictophonetic ones .Category 3 and 5 are non-pictophonetic characters mistaken as pictophonetic ones .Category 2 is about pictophonetic words'internal Xiesheng mistikes .Category 6 and 7 are non-pictophonetic words'internal mistakes .Category 8 is on errors of words'meanings and pronunciations ,which ,though not from the Xiesheng System ,can lead to other words'Xiesheng mistakes .Each of the former 7 categories is further divided into 3 groups according to the reasons :1.analytic errors on words' multiplication ;2.analytic errors on Xiesheng relations ;3.analytic errors on word forms' evolution .In the final part ,the thesis makes a preliminary counting on the examples in each type ,with an expectation of shedding lights on the regularities of pictophonetic characters' development and evolution .
