According to the analyzation,this thesis shows that the gentry-businessmen are the positive outcome in the pressure for saving our country to survive.They expands and remakes the traditional culture s connotation.Also,they are the compromise of the national culture.They reduce the distance between the gentleman,peasants and the industrial,commercial class,break the opposite between the sense of honor and interest,promote the evolution from the tradition ethics society to the legal priciple one,readjust the running of industry and commerce from the traditional roads to the madern one.However,the gentry-businessmen appreciate the tradition,confuse the patriotism and protecting the feudalism.So they can t cast off the restriction of the traditional ethics from their subconscious in the modern society,can t combine the tradition with the modernization.Therefore,they achieve the society s progress depending on their authority of the scholarly honor and official rank and the economic actual stregth during the transition.At the same time,they make the modernzation of the society s life and economic activities be full of difficulties.
