In this thesis, I am trying to find out a clear clue of emale consciousness for Chinese contemporary female literature, My method is through choosing works of a outstanding female writer----Tie Ning, and analyze emale consciousness in them. Firstly, I discussed the developing process of New Age Female Literature to confirm the significant value of contemporary female literature. Then, I discriminated emale consciousness from emale literature emale literature refers to works written by female, discussing female and having mature emale consciousness While, emale consciousness means a viewpoint to understand the world and the life from female feeling, female perspective and female experience. It also means a consciousness which pretest and de-fragment the traditional literature predominated by male. The end goal of emale consciousness is to realize a true equal , harmonious society. Then I divided female works of 20th century in to three parts according to time and discussed separately. The conclusion is that the 1980 is a prosperous time for female literature. So I focused my efforts on works of this time. At the same time, I made a clear the relationship between emale literature rivate literature and ex literature by analyzing these works, And drew a conclusion: emale consciousness is the most important part in female literature and also the easiest thing to be ignored. This feature makes female literature distinguish out from other literatures. I chose Tie Ning works to do detail analyzing, because her works have no emale consciousness at first, then developed with more and more emale consciousness then she applied uper-sex consciousness into her works. So her word is suitable for my research. I begin my discuss with Xiang Xue, early work of Tie Ning, containing no clear emale consciousness then Mai Jie Duo and Mian Hua Duo. Then I put a great deal of emphasis on Mei Gui Men, one of the best works of Tie Ning, which typically contains female perspective, female experience. I compared its description about private world and common world with works of other writers. Then I discussed the super sex writing style in Dui Mian and Da Yu Nu. From all of these analysis, we can find that female literature experienced a rapid progress and is on the way to enter a new age.
