On The 17 Years ( 1949~1966 ) Revolution Hero Of The Movie's Pedigree

This paper concentrates on the major type of characters evolutionary heroes created in the movies in China from 1949 to 1966. This paper starts from the analysis of the imagery of revolutionary heroes, aiming to have an overall grasp of the historical context, figurative strategies, the shaping process in the course of narrative, and the historical development of the type. Besides ntroduction and onclusion the paper is composed of two parts: The first part: the structure of the imagery of revolutionary heroes?the analysis of basic figurative strategies. First, through the investigation of the types of movie characters in the 17 years (1949-1966), we pinpoint the denotation and the basic properties of the revolutionary heroes. Then from the description of the external environments and the origin and development of Chinese movie itself, we sort out the objective causes that influence he imagery of revolutionary heroes and its relevant creation ideas. Through the analysis of historical context, we pinpoint the status and role of the imagery of revolutionary heroes in uthority ideology ext udience Finally, we generalize the basic figurative strategies of the imagery of revolutionary heroes typicalization and odelization and the corresponding specific figurative strategies. The second part: the shaping the imagery of revolutionary heroes梩he analysis of narrative. We refer to the classical Hollywood hero movies, and by contrast to the practice pattern of narrative ethics of aydreaming we analyze the narrative construct and the corresponding ideological practice pattern of the movies on revolutionary heroes. Then we investigate the basic narrative pattern of the movies on revolutionary heroes built surrounding the shaping of the imagery of revolutionary heroes. Through the analysis of the movie texts representing the stage and whole achievements, we further sort out the traces of the establishment and evolution of the imagery of revolutionary heroes, and the corresponding relationship between the social texts during given historical periods. The whole paper contains about 28,000 Chinese characters.
