On "serenity" East-west Aesthetic Ideal

As an important art proposition, "Serenity" is originated from the German classical aestheticians Winkelmann. It was originally used to summarize the ancient Greek sculpture "Laocoon"art form. In later writings, and then be deduced as the general character of Greek art.In the West,with continuous explanation of Winckelmann, Lessing, Goethe, Hegel,"Serenity" form to a rich connotation . "Serenity" that is not the origin of China, but back on the traditional Chinese culture, which has emerged out of "Serenity". The Modern aestheticians Zhu Guangqian, Zong Baihua,has its own different view on the "Serenity". Contemporary scholars have their own opinions explanation on it.This paper will interpreted the development and perfection of "Serenity" in the West and the deformation of the introduction in China. Article is divided into three parts:The first chapter is on social conditions in ancient Greece, art works, the philosopher thought to explore the origin introduction of "Serenity" in ancient Greek . The resulting, "Serenity" is a "complexity of the body. include "rational, ""moderate, ""pure, ""noble".The second chapter , turn to "Serenity" in the West . "Serenity" made by Winckelmann, Lessing "rebel" , Goethe "worship," Hegel, "summed up" ,then come s to the formation of a rich content. Start with the traditional Chinese aesthetics and Western "Serenity" Aesthetics related factors. Zhu and Zong based on theirdeep Sinology foundation, with reference to the Western literary theory, make a unique absorption and interpretation"Serenity ". Along the path of their predecessors,Contemporary scholars make a "Serenity" rich interpretation on poetry and painting , sculpture, the artist and so on.On the one hand this paper aims to find the origin anddevelopment of matureonWestern "Serenity ", On the other hand ,butalso based on the theory of local resources to explore the spread inChina, and its fusion, deformation conditions, in order to take care ofcontemporary art "Solemn and quiet. With the hope to outline the"Serenity" different connotations in the East and West and a morecomplete "Serenity" that the aesthetic dimension.
