Hanzhong City History And Geography

Hanzhong is an old city with more than two thousand years, is also a national historical and cultural city. Hanzhong city in the Hanzhong Basin,north of the Qinling Mountains,south of Bashan Mountains,the Han River flow through south of the city,and this area has mild climate and abundant, very suitable for human habitation.Since 451BC,When Hanzhong city's beening built,the location of the city had some changes by the impact of Han river's flooding,and the size of the city was growing day by day.Hanzhong in the special geographical location, military status is very important, so the construction in the city reflect many military characteristics.In terms of urban layout, the various functional area is not clear. In addition to administrative, educational institutions are more concentrated, the other agencies are scattered throughout the city, show a certain inherited resistance on the changes of the times.Education was very important in the history of Hanzhong,some unique education institution occurred.Hanzhong benefit from Han river's shipping in Ming,Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,economic was highly development.
