Abstract/Summary:
Pretend play occurs in children two years of age, is one of the important activities in children's social cognitive development. Theory-of-Mind development later than pretend play, children around the age of 4 can pass Theory-of-Mind task. Pretend play and children's theory of mind closely related, it requires many skills to understand the mantel condition, someone has found that children to pretend play cognitive ability appears earlier than in real-life performance., pretend play has become a key to children's theory of mind. A part of studies about theory of mind has been reported how to improve theory of mind by different intervention study skills, in recent years, theory of mind training has constantly been researchers applied to various groups. Child with developmental disability is bad in physiological mechanism of congenital defects due to various reasons, showed cognitive and social function obstacle. Lacking Sociality ability make such children unable to participate in the normal social activities. Theory of mind is one of important social skills of development, thus, improving the theory of mind to children with moderate intellectual disability becomes the research focus.Improve theory of mind to help the retardation special children's to have the important meaning. Our country does not have research records mentally disabled children pretended play training effect of reports, so further research is very necessary. The purpose of this research will select some effective intervention methods in enhance the children theory of mind, the first pick a application effect of intervention is best, and try to applied to mentally disabled children, to improve the theory of mind of mentally disabled children, to help retarded children better adapt to the social environment.This research is composed of three points experiment, experiment 1 and experiment 2 is parallel relation, all of the experiment to prepare for experiment 3. Study one is pretend play to intervention theory of mind on ordinary children. It set three intervention groups (the pretend play group, the langue group and the control group) to investigate different intervention for children theory of mind effect, aim for the mentally disabled children intervention methodology for basis. Study two explore the development of moderate retarded children theory of mind at present, it use six kinds of theory of mind tasks:desire tests, knowledge test, belief test, false belief task and emotional test to evaluate development of retarded children's theory of mind in current situation, also for further pretend play intervention study selected participator. Study three use langue and pretend play to train children with moderate intellectual disability's theory of mind skill.Comprehensive three experimental results, this paper support the following conclusions:(1) pretend Play intervention and words intervention are a good role in promoting the theory of mind development. (2) Pretend play intervention for children's theory of mind development had better effect than words intervention. (3) Moderate retarded children theory of mind level along with the age and improve.13 years old is key time, environment for the development of cognitive main factors for development. (4) Pretend play intervention can effectively enhance the children with moderate intellectual disability theory of mind level. (5) Impact of words training on moderate retarded children's theory of mind development is week.
