| The thesis attempts to study Chinese/English code-switching in Chinese blog. The theories "Matrix Language Frame Model" and "An Adaptation Model of Code-switching Study" are used as the theory foundation. http://blog.sina.com.cn and http://blog.sohu.com.cn are chosen as the subject.The research finds that the Chinese/English code-switching in Chinese blog has two sub-kinds:intrasentential switching and intersentential switching. In general, the former are more than the latter in using frequencies. Nouns, verbs and adjectives are the most three parts of speech in Chinese/English code-switching, which lose their paradigmatic forms. In addition, the size of the switched unit and its using frequency are negatively correlated.The research also finds that the Chinese/English code-switching in Chinese blog, which caused by globalization and language interaction, is a kind of communicative strategy to adapt the author's motivation, Chinese language and conventions. In addition, the research proposes the normative suggestions on using English in Chinese blog.It is a tentative research. In future study, it is better to enlarge the research corpus and to analyze the research findings more thoroughly. |
