| TED is a abbreviation of technology, entertainment and design. This is an organization supported by nonprofit private foundation. It was established by Richard Saul Wurman in 1984. Its aim is"Ideas Worth Spreading.". In 2000, TED was supervised by The Sapling Foundation after Chris Anderson, the first media raiser, joined it.Ted has produced a great influence in the world. Especially, the power of ideas has been extensive into everyday life and social affairs on the technology of networks information. The aim of this article is to research TED as a design and two themes is through it: the design process of TED and the relationship amongtechnology, entertainment and design of TED. The main contents refer to the reasons of TED founded, the development history of TED from 1984 to 2010, the analysis of design issues and the expandedness of TED from the beginning issues of technology, entertainment and design to arts, commerce, the expanded globalization. It reveals the inner logic among technology, entertainment and design, the historic signigicance of TED, the change of design at the information age. |
