The Water Margin began from the relevant Songjiang's deeds records and legend . The names of some mountains, waters, characters, mansion houses and counties are based on history, and the names of some places are still used today, such as Yishui County.This paper entitled"The Yishui mirror re search on The Water Margin", it like a mirror, aims to find the reality and fiction of Yishui by means of systematically combing the regional cultures, thus conclude the importance of Yishui culture in forming the fiction. This research can help locals fully understand and utilize this fiction, so as to promote Liangshan heroes'spirits and the development of local cultures.This paper, which is divided into three parts of introduction, main body and conclusion, is to analyze Yishui from the following points, such as the heroes'story in history, country places, Yishui stories and people and so on.In the part of introduction, it reviews the past and current research status on"Heroes of Marshes"in Yishui, states the aims and the meanings, expounds the innovative points of the paper in understanding some content from the view of regional culture, and it also briefly introduces the research methods and conception of the paper.The main body is divided into five chapters.Chapter 1,"The Water Margin in the history of Yizhou", is to explore the possible effects on the writing of this fiction by analyzing some source materials, e.g. the history records,"Wang Lun Upspring"and"Song Jiang in Guimeng".Chapter 2,"The Yishui Country Places in The Water Margin", aims to research the places referred in the fiction, such as Baizhang Village, Yiling, Sizhou great temple, and the hometown of Li Gui and CaoTaiGong Estate. It also analyzes and further digs out the cultural relation between the fiction and the reality of Yishui.Chapter 3,"Yishui Stories in The Water Margin", adopting some wonderful Yishui stories, such as Li Gui robbery, Li Kui killed tigers, Li Kui in denger in Yiling Village.Chapter 4,"The Great Man of Liangshan Heroes-Li Kui", combined with the origin of Li Kui image in YuanDynasty'Shuihu play, mainly elaborates the impact of the nickname on the character performance. It analyzes Li Kui's imageby giving examples;sums up its promotive function on the plot, and concludes its artistic value on Chinese classical literature.Chapter 5,"Other Yishui Chracters in The Water Margin", by specifically analyzing some heroes, such as Zhu Gui, Zhu Fu, Li Yun, and some villains,e.g. Li Gui, Li Da and Squire Cao, is to summarize the particular meanings of"Yishui people image group"in the collection of fiction characters in the ancient times.The part of conclusion is to sum up the content of the paper. It analyzes the values of Yishui story in the whole structure and its profound influence on Chinese classical literature from the point of Yishui stories'spread. And,illustrates that this fiction won universal praise for its Yishui stories and its people. So it plays an important role on the development of local economy and Yishui Regional Culture which will become more brilliant for the novel. In the end, it elaborates the focal points and the defective parts in the point of structure so as to definite the next task and research direction.
