Guo Xi's creative idea of the Landscape Painting is formed under the influence of lixue (an idealistic school of philosophical thought in the Song Dynasty). Lixue was merged with Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Under the background of the mutual integration of thoughts, Guo Xi formed his own unique style to convey the concept of unity between his aesthetic pursuit and deep awareness of the universe.The introduction of this thesis describes the beginning of the study, Guo Xi's position in Chinese painting history and the academic research on the status of Guo Xi Landscape Painting at present.The body of the thesis can be divided into three parts: the origin of Guo Xi's reative idea of the Landscape Painting, the interpretation of its meaning, and its great influnce on the later paintings.I. In the aspect of its own logical thinking, Guo Xi's creative idea of the Landscape Painting drew the previous essence and come to a higer level. In the spirit of the times, the relatively relaxed political environment, economic prosperity atmosphere, relaxed and comfortable living environment for the individuals, then philosophy, literature and art, and many other factors constitute the concept of the growth of Guo Xi Landscape Painting soil, prompting the origin, development , maturity; Guo Xi stressed the view :"Body near mountain and taken from it". It is the artistic expression of the pursuit of unity after the ideological construction of lixue. In terms of his individual creation, Guo Xi's life experience, hard work and good at the art of creating a rational speculative wisdom, he gave birth to the concept of the Landscape Painting.II. Guo Xi used the landscape as a medium and put a proposition"the body near mountain and taken from it". The landscape of the shape and the expression of the character combine perfectly, so that each touched the matter of the state and the creation of landscape painting was no longer confined to the observation and described the natural image, it also focused on the artist's emotional experience. In addition, in the context of lixue, Guo Xi's Landscape Painting used the pen of mind to construct the "three remoteness" space, so it can broaden their horizon and enrich the connotation of the screen. This made the landscape painting poetic and decent. In the process of creation, Guo Xi thought that the mechanical arrangement of the natural hills and gullies can not show the artist's temperament. The methods would be the best way of expression. Cute locations in the landscape painting can increase the modal, highlight its magnificent momentum and rhythm of change; from Guo Xi's point of view, in order to achieve the unity of the natural landscape, pen and the artist, it is necessary to cultivate the artist's feeling in the painting creation. Based on this, the painting can show the endless vigor and vitality of landscape.III. Guo Xi inherited and developed ZhangZao's proposition, i.e. "nature outside, in the heart of the source", and put forward the idea "body near mountain and taken from it"; after that, Wang Lu's idea "The heart of my teacher, the mind of my heart, the mind of Hua Mountain"; Shi Tao's idea "one painting," and his "search all the mountains and scratch". This proposition is the logical continuation of Guo Xi's thought.The theory of "three remoteness" brought a breakthrough for the artist to paint the space constraints. Guo Xi guided the landscape painting in the poetic direction. This style made the landscape painting extremely perfect. It gave birth to the arrival of the landscape painting's glory. It also had an influential effect on "the four of Southern Song " ,"the four of Yuan Dynasty " and Shi Tao in Qing Dynasty. From the paintings we can see the influnce of Guo Xi's style. In addition, as the representative of the painter in Northern Song Dynasty Guo Xi changed the style of realistic painting into the lyrical direction, so that it became a conscious pursuit for the later artists.To sum up, we can get the idea from two aspects. From the narrow sense, "Lin Quan Gao Zhi" is the main object of the thesis, from the aesthetic structure of the inner works of art of Guo Xi Landscape Painting to appreciate the whole painting. Broadly speaking, this increases the academic background on the creative idea of Guo Xi's landscape painting, includes the history of Chinese painting, the era of thought and culture, social trends, the impact on future generations, and so on. It demonstrates the style and meaning of Guo Xi's landscape painting.
