Purpose: Establish a reasonable production line and quality control standards by the test of production process and quality standard.Conduct preliminary pharmacodynamics studies to provide a viable basis for the further expansion of production.Materials and methods: Use orthogonal experimental design to optimizeβ-cyclodextrin inclusion process conditions as peppermint oil inclusion rate and the inclusion indicators yield being index; select the water extraction process by determining baicalin and extract yield with HPLC; process into granules which ethanol is wetting agent and dextrin is auxiliary material. Use TLC to identify Chinese medicine in prescription, and HPLC to determine chlorogenic acid, puerarin and baicalin, then establish quality standards for heat Granules product. Indications functions under this side of Kunming mice were antitussive, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and immune organ weight and other pharmacodynamic test.Results:1.Optimize extraction and molding process.2.Establish quality standards, and determine the content of chlorogenic acid, baicalin and puerarin in prescription simultaneously by HPLC, which shows good linearity, precision, stability, repeatability and recoveries with standards .3.Preliminary pharmacodynamic test shows that heat Granules are antibechic, analgetic, antiphlogistic, and immunity enhanced.Conclusion: The subject have finished the extracting and molding process and establish quality controll standards in order to prove that the preliminary pharmacodynamics test is significant.It also provides the basis for large-scale production.
