Objective To study the clinical characteristics and the risks factors with Acute Myocardial Infraction(AMI), in order to improve the treatment and prevention of the diseases patients. Methods We selected the clinical data form the Changzhi City Hospital. A total of 238 patients cases (166 male and 72 female) between May 2006 and October 2009 were used in this study. Clinical characteristics, risks factors for the disease the infarction Mortalityrate, according to gender, were considered. Significant Differences were compared using Students T-test. Unpaired data and the classified variable data were compared by Chi-Square test. Results The average age of female patients was 62.38 years old (±11.04 years) where the average age of male patients was 57.23 years old (±10.75years).The peak age of female patients when AMI was first diagnosed was between 60-70 years and the peak age of male patients was 50-60 years. With relation to the traditional risk factors of smoking, the disease rate of in males patients was higher (p<0.05).There were no significant differences with Diabetes and hypertensive and Hypercholesterolemia, diseases between the two groups of AMI patients (p>0.05).There were significant difference with no chest pain between female patients and male patients (p<0.05). Cardiac insufficiency of the female AMI group was significantly different compared with the males (p<0.05). There were no significant differences the position of AMI between the two groups of female and male AMI patients (p>0.05).The infarction mortality rate in females was significantly higher than that of males. (p<0.05).In the<40 years of age group and the 40-54 years of age group the infarction mortality rate in AMI patients showed no significant differences (p>0.05).In the 55-64 year sold group and the≥65 years old group, there were significant differences (p<0.05).The female AMI patients who were automatically discharged form the hospital due financial difficulties compared with the male ones have significant differences (p<0.05).Conclution1. With relation to the traditional risk factors of smoking the disease rate of in males patients was higher than that of females.2. The proportion of cardiac insufficiency of the female AMI group were higher than that of males.3. The AMI mortality rate in females patients as significantly higher than that of males.4. The male patients of Changzhi area with AMI disease survived and were hospitalized more than the female ones.
