Objective To summary the characteristic,the transmutation of signal and distribution of focal demyelination on Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) in Multiple sclerosis(MS);To measure cerebral atrophy of MS and analyze correlation factor of cerebral atrophy.Methods Collect 80 images whose have been diagnosed MS(we have collected 11 patients'case information of the total ),divide these patients to two groups according to age;We apply uninterruption scanning for every case,and we will obtain images about T1 weighting and T2 weighting.Statistics numbers of focal,signal,characteristic of form and the regular of distribution; measure and analyze cerebral on MRI.Result①The most focal demyelination is round or alike round,the bouncary is distinctness,the relationship between the macroaxis of model focal and the lateral cerebral ventricle's tangent is perpendicularity,the main focal signal is same or slightly dolicho - T1and slightly dolicho - T2,the most signal is uniformity.②the Cerebroventricular anfractuosity and latrral fissure on MRI in MS is larger or wider than in the control group,the diameter of the brain parenchyma is shorter than in the control group.These differences all have significance through statistics.These results may explain cerebral atrophy in MS.③We arrive at that EDSS is main prognosis factor for cerebral atrophy by the analysis of correlation factor.Conclusion Cerebral atrophy is generally and gradually progress,the measurement of cerebral atrophy may regard as a index about progression of MS in clinical trial.
