Objective:To investigate the relationship of urinary albumin excretion(UAE)and serum concentration of RANTES,TNF-αin Type 2 Diabetic Mellitus patiens with nephropathy. Methods:To choose 60 Type 2 Diabetic patiens divided into three groups:Diabetes Mellitus with normal urine protein group(DM),microproteinuria group(DN1),clinical proteinuria group(DN2).To choose 20 healthy people as normal control group(NC),Serum concentration of RANTES and TNF-αwere measured. Finally to analysis the association of serum RANTES and TNF-αlevels with the observed indexes. Results:All the results were analyzed.(1)The serum RANTES and TNF-αlevels in type 2 diebetes mellitus subgroups were significantly higher than the normal control group(P<0.05);The levels in DN1 and DN2 groups were also higher than the DM group(P<0.01);The levels were also significantly increased in DN2 group compared with DN1 group(P<0.01).(2)Serum RANTES and TNF-αlevels in type 2 diebetes mellitus group correlated positively with urinary microalbumin excretion rate.(3)The levels of Serum RANTES in type 2 diebetes mellitus group had positive relationship to the serum TNF-αlevels(P<0.05).Conclusion:The serum RANTES and TNF-αconcentrations of the type 2 diabetes mellitus patients are higher than the normal individulas, and the concentrations are associated with the advancement of diabetic nephropathy. The examination of the serum concentrations may be of some value to judge the genesis and advancement of diabetic nephropathy.
