This dissertation is divided into two parts. The first part is the synthetic research of isatin and 5-F-isatin derivatives. The second part is the antibaeterial activity of the synthetic derivativesIsatin, also named 2, 3-indolinedione, a nature oceanic antibiotics extracted from lobster, now has been confirmed existing in natural indigo, a traditional Chinese medicine and human body as an endogenous active substance.Isatin has therapeutic effects on Parkinson's disease (PD), aging, hyperlipemia, anti-epileptic, tumor, epilepsy antibacterial, anti-virus and other biological activity. It is attracting much interest for its structure modification and biological activity optimization.In this paper, isatin and amino acids were used as starting materials to synthesize isatin derivatives through the nucleophilic addition, elimination reactions. All substitution sites were at 3 carbonyl of isatin. 13 new compounds were obtained and characterized by ~1HNMR, IR.5-fluoro-isatin was used to instead of isatin to condense with amino acids by the same method of above. 12 new compounds were obtained and characterized by ~1HNMR, IR.Antibacterial activities were evaluated by the filter paper method. Four of them have a significant bacteriostasis to the staphylococcus aureus.
