Objective: To study the effect of the extraction of Gynostemma by the Contents of perhydrol (H2O2)and the capacity of general oxidation resistance(T-AOC)in the blood of naturally senile mice and observe the tissue structure change of the naturally senile mice and complying with the two aspects,of the clinical significance of reinforcing deficiency and surppot right and replenishing qi to invigorate the spleen and leading to skin aging free radical loss theory in modern medicine presume the mechanism on the effect of Gynostemma on postoning the senescence. Methods :10 the kind of Kunming female mice aged in three-month forming a group as youth (A); 30 the kind of Kunming female mice aged in twelve- month randomly divides into 3 groups,10 per group:old age blank group (B),old age masculine matched group (C),old age Gynostemma Pentaphyllum group (D). Give the group A,B NS 0.3ml/t intragastriclly , external use blank cream 0.5ml/t; Gave the group C VE 25mg/kg intragastriclly, volume of giving medicine 0.3ml/t, external use VE cream 0.5g/t; Gave the group D the extract of Gynostemma 0.3ml/t intragastriclly, external use Gynostemma cream 0.5g/t.All above was handled 2 times per day.After 30 days by biochemistry analysis method determined the Contents of perhydrol(H2O2) and the capacity of general oxidation resistance(T-AOC) in blood ,and observed the change of mice skin organizational structure. Results:Comparing with youth group, the Contents of perhydrol (H2O2)in blood increases obviously among the others three old age groups (P﹤0.01, P﹤0.05, P﹤0.01 respectively), and it is weakened by obviously to the capacity of general oxidation resistance(T-AOC)(P﹤0.01,P﹤0.01,P﹤0.01 respectively). Conclusions: H202 contents increase ,T-AOC weakens in blood of the naturally senile mice. The extract of Gynostemma can clean up the free radical by intragastric administration with external use and prove the antioxidant punch and reduce the damage to the skin of mice causing by the oxidant.Then postone the senescence of the skin.
