Object:To To investigate the effects of REM1 sleep deprivation (SD) on actions and cell gene levels of Sprague-eawley rats and to investigate the efficacy,of application of Electro-acupuncture for treating sleep deprivation.Methods:Thirty healthy SD rats randomly allocated to three groups(normal-control,model(A1),Electro-treatment groups). The rats of model(A1)group and Electro-treatment group were induced in male rats by housing them on small platforms overwater,normal-control group rats was on big platforms overwater.After Electro-treatment for Electro-treatment groups,the weight,the change of normal status and Open Field Test were measured with all rats,serum levels of IL-1β, IL-2,TNF-αof all groups were measured by ABC-ELISA with sleep deprivation.Results:Electro-acupuncture treatment can improve the actions and add the weight of sleep deprivation;and Electro-acupuncture can decrease the IL-1β,IL-2 and TNF-a levels.Conclusion:Application of Electro-acupuncture can decrease the IL-1β,IL-2 and TNF-a levels.,and pro-duce a fighting effect on sleep deprivation.Immune system of rats is activated by sleep deprivation as increase of IL-1β,IL-2 and TNF-a levels.The effect may be related to promote the Nerval endocrine cytokine of Electro-acupuncture.
