Objective To investigate the difference of seminal parameters between the chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) group and the control group. Methods A total of 46 semen samples from 46 cases diagnosed CPPS were studied, to analysis the differences of seminal parameter between 17 cases of CPPSâ…¢A group, 29 cases of CPPSâ…¢B group and 30 cases of control group. Results Both the CPPSâ…¢B group and the CPPSâ…¢A group were different from the control group significantly in volume, duration of liquefaction and motility, while the other parameters had no difference among 3 groups. The seminal parameters between the CPPSâ…¢B group and the CPPSâ…¢A group did not defer significantly. Conclusion The results indicate that CPPS can impact on sperm volume, liquefaction and motility evidently, and that CPPSâ…¢B and CPPSâ…¢A play a similar role on seminal parameters.
