Background:Diabetes is a chronic and complex disease, harmful to human health. The clinical research show that insulin resistence(IR) is widly existed type2 diabetes patients. And improving IR is the key of lowering the blood sugar. We have pay more attention on the harmfulness of IR than before.IR is not only predicate the occur of diabetes, but also the cause of type2 diabetes, and it's the main pathology causes of Metabolic Syndrome(including hyperinsulinemia,IGT Impaired glucose tolerance, obesity, high blood pressure and Stein-Leventhal syndrome).IR is the risk factor of macroangiopathy(coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease). Improving the sensitiveness of insulin and decrease the IR are the main methods to prevent and cure the type2 diabetes. Objective:Observe the function of Dr.Tong Xiaolin's Chinese medical prescription on lowering the blood sugar and improving the IR.Analyze the characteristic of the medical records in order to have a deep research on this field in the future. Methods:The reseach is retrospective study. There are information of 60 patient collecting from Dr. Tong Xiaolin's out-patient clinic.Making Paired-Samples T Test of each patient' fasting plasma glucose, postprandial plasma glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin A1C(HbA1C),and HOMA2-IR(logarithmic) from pretherapy to post-treatment.Divide the patients into several groups by the course of disease and period of treatment, and Malting Paired-Samples T Test of each patient' HOMA2-IR(logarithmic) in each group. The quanlity data is figured by(?)±s. The data is computed by statistical software.Results:1.FPG,PG2h,and HbA1C of the 60 cases have reduced after treatment than before with a significant difference(P<0.05);The HOMA2-IR of the 60 cases has reduced after treatment than before with a significant difference(P<0.01)2.Divide the cases in four group by the course of disease. There are 26 cases which course of disease<2 years, the HOMA2-IR of them has reduced after treatment than before with a significant difference(P<0.01);There are 12 cases which course of disease are from 2 years to 4.9 years, the HOMA2-IR of them has reduced after treatment than before with a significant difference(P<0.05);There are 12 cases which course of disease are from 5 years to 9.9 years, the HOMA2-IR of them has reduced after treatment than before with a significant difference (P<0.05);There are 10 cases which course of disease≥10 years, the HOMA2-IR of them has reduced after treatment than before, but has no significant difference(P<0.05).Divide the cases in four group by period of treatment. There are 14 cases which period of treatment≤3 months, the HOMA2-IR of them has reduced after treatment than before, but has no significant difference(P>0.05);There are 20 cases which period of treatment are from 4 months to 6 months, the HOMA2-IR of them has reduced after treatment than before, but has no significant difference(P>0.05);There are 15 cases which period of treatment are from 7 months to 9 months, the HOMA2-IR of them has reduced after treatment than before with a significant difference(P<0.05);There are 11 cases which period of treatment≥10 months, the HOMA2-IR of them has reduced after treatment than before with a significant difference (P<0.05);Conclusions:1.The Chinese medicine can lower the blood sugar and HOMA2-IR significantly, and can improve the IR;2.The Chinese mendicine can have a better effect on lowering the HOMA2-IR for the cases which have a short course of desease than the cases which have a long course of disease(≥10 years);3.The Chinese mendicine can have a better effect on lowering the HOMA2-IR for the cases which have a long period of treatment than the cases which have a short period of treatment.
