Yin Deficiency Of The Pleural Effusion Of Primary Lung Cancer Exploratory Study

Backgroud TCM syndrome type of lung cancer has become a hot issues of lung cancer research in China in recent years.As Yin deficiency syndrome is one of the most important syndromes in TCM,it's very important and valuable to explore the law of Yin deficiency syndrome.However,at present, there're not a normative diagnostic standard in both basic and clinical researches.Because of it,the results of these researches cann't do the clinical extension.Significance To establishes status of Yin deficiency syndrome in TCM syndromes of lung cancer,discusses and analyzes the clinical effect of Yin deficiency syndrome of lung cancer.And we try to get main points for Yin deficiency syndrome of lung cancer by clinical study on distribution law of Yin deficiency syndrome of lung cancer.Meanwhile,analyzes correlation between Yin deficiency syndrome of lung cancer and other factors,So that we can get some new idea about it.Method To collect 180 hospitalized cases with Pulmonary Tumors Complicated with Pleural Effusion in the Guang'an men hospital,from Jan,2006 to Mar,2009.According to our inclusion criteria,90 cases are Yin deficiency syndrome group and the others non-Yin deficiency syndrome group.In this study,we input clinical data with EXCEL 2003,and analyze with SPSS 13.0.Result There's not differences in age,gender,pathology,stage,primary and metastatic sites of lung cancer patients between Yin deficiency syndrome group and non-Yin deficiency syndrome group(no statistical meaning,P＞0.05).But,with decrease of differentiation grades of lung cancer,the Yin deficiency syndrome increased.We also found that the KPS score of Yin deficiency syndrome group is higher than non-Yin deficiency syndrome group,the difference have statistical meaning(P＜0.05),which shows that with decrease of KPS score,the Yin deficiency syndrome increased.The first three places in Yin deficiency syndrome ranked are cough with less or no sputum,mouth and throat dryness and red tongue with less or no fur.Conclutions Yin deficiency syndrome of lung cancer is definitely one of basic TCM syndromes of lung cancer.Its characteristics are different from general Yin deficiency syndrome,which shows we need set up diagnostic standard for Yin deficiency syndrome of lung cancer only.The KPS scores of advanced lung cancer patients decrease rapidly if they have Yin deficiency syndrome.
