The Moxibustion Strengthen Liquid Acupoint Absorbed Through The Skin Treatment Effect By Inhibition Of Pulmonary Fibrosis In Rats And Its Endogenous Smad7 Expression Studies

Object:The present study was performed to observe the effects that HuaXianFang liquid is absorbed by the skin of acupoint reinforced by maxibustion on the expression of SMAD7 and it's mRNA in rats with pulmonary fibrosis,and to explore the role of TGF-βin the mechanisms underlying.Method:Animal model were successfully obtained by intratracheal injection with BLMA5 in SD rats.7 days later,rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:model group,prednisone group,herb combined with moxibustion group, and moxibustion group.In addition,12 healthy rats were set up as contol group. Each group receive corresponding treatment respectively,once daily,30 consecutive days.Each group's treatment are as follow:model group,no treatment;prednisone group,intraperitoneal injection with prednisone;herb combined with moxibustion group,dropwised by HuaXianFang liquid followed by moxibustion at "GaoHuangShu" and "FeiShu" acupoint;moxibustion group, moxibustion at "GaoHuangShu" and "FeiShu" acupoint.After that,the immunoreactivity of SMAD7 and it's mRNA was measured.Results:the expression of SMAD7 in prednisone group,herb combined with moxibustion group,and moxibustion group is significantly increased than model group.all of the three groups have statistical significance(P＜0.01). Moreover,the degree of fibrosis in the former three groups is all attenuated. among which,herb combined with moxibustion group is most effective.Conclusion:herb combined with moxibustion is more effective in inhibiting the development of pulmonary fibrosis in rats,and the mechanisms underlying is involved with increased expression of SMAD7 and deceased expression of TGF-β.
