| Objective: To provide anatomical base for training cubital tunnel syndrome by clinical operation. Investigate the branches of the ulnar in elbow. Looking for blood supply for the deep fascia in elbow region..Method: The ulnar nerve and its vascular supply, the cubital tunnel, the vascular supply for the deep fascia were studied and measured in 32 side of cadaveric upper limbs specimens.Result: Three major arteries supply the ulnar nerve at the elbow region: superior ulnar collateral artery (SUVA), inferior ulnar collateral artery (IUCA) and posterior ulnar recurrent artery (PURA). There is no permanent vascular supply has been found for the deep fascia in the operating field. The ulnar have 1-2 articular branches and 2-3 muscular branches near the elbow. Conclusion: It's necessary to preserve at least the superior ulnar collateral artery or inferior ulnar collateral artery in the anterior transposition of vascularized ulnar nerve. Principal for random flap should be followed when a deep fascia flap was made. |
