| Purpose:to observe the clinical effectiveness of ZhixueHuashiQuyuSanjie Fa(止血化湿袪瘀散结法)for treating exudative age-related macular degeneration.Methods:according to the research of the Eyeground Illness Group of Ophthalmology community of C.M.A(chinese medical association)in 1986, "the Senile Macular Degeneration Clinical Diagnostic Standard " was formulated,we picked up 52 patients(67 eyes)diagnosed as exudative AMD and the subjects were divided into two groups,a Treatment Group which Included 27 cases(35 eyes)and a Control Group which included 25 cases(32 eyes),aged above 45 without gender limit.It was required that all the patients suffered from no other oculopathy illness or hypertension or diabetes which might result in eyes abnormality and systemic disease and the course of disease lasted less than 3 months.In the treating proeess,the Treatment Group took the traditional Chinese medicine Decoction of ZhixueHuashiQuyuSanjie(止血化湿袪瘀散结)and the Control Group took the vitaminC and vitaminE.The treatment course lasted for three months.The researching purpose is to observe the change of the Patients'vision and eye ground,visual field and the condition of fundus fluorescence angiography (FFA),indocyanine green angiography(ICGA)and(optical coherence tomography OCT)after the treatment.Results:(1)for vision,the difference of the sight before and after treatment in theTreatment Group had statistics meaning(P＜0.01),and so did the Control Group(P＜0.05).The comparison of the vision before and after the treatment had statisties meaning(P＜0.05),and the Treatment Group overmatch the Control Group.(2)for eyeground,the comparing difference of the two groups had statistics meaning(P＜0.05),and the Treatment Group overmatch the Control Group.(3)for visual field,the comparing difference of the two groups had statistics meaning(P＜0.05), and the Treatment Group overmatch the Control Group.(4)after the treatment,the comparisonof the FFA and ICGA of the two groups had statisties meaning(P＜0.01),and the Treatment Group overmatch the Contro Group. (5)after the treatment,the comparisonof the OCT of the two groups had statisties meaning(P＜0.05),and the Treatment Group overmatch the Contro Group.(6)The comparison of the medical effeetiveness of the two groups had statisties meaning(P＜0.05),and the Treatment Group overmatch the Control Group.Conclusions:Decoction of ZhixueHuashiQuyuSanjie has excellent effectiveness for treating exudative age-related macular degeneration and the effevtiveness overmatch that of Control Groups. |
