With the deepening of reform and the development of market economy,people's awareness of self-protection and the expectation of the medicaland health care continue to rise. The medical institutions at all levelsface a problem that the number of medical disputes is increasing quickly.Medical disputes are not only the thorny issue of medical institutions,but also become the focus that people pay attention to, and become thehot social problem. They are also the aspect of the media report andone of the difficulties of hospital management. Basic to the data andinformation of the medical disputes which people reflect in the healthministry during 2001 and 2007, this article analyses and describes themedical disputes reflecting in the health ministry at the view ofpatients. The analysis of these medical disputes happened in differentplaces in china, including 31 provinces. Through the methods ofcomprehensive analysis, the article induces the present status, whichis the quantity is getting more and more. Integrated the result of thedata and material in the data bank with the methods of interviews anddocumentation analysis, we find that various factors that lead to theconsequences.The paper analyzes the current problems in dealing with medicaldisputes from various angles such as hospital management, law, sociology,medical ethics, and psychology. The problems focus on several aspects.The medical institutions don't pay enough attention to the medicaldisputes. There are drawbacks in medical records. Health departmentsdon't conform to the standard when dealing with the argument aboutmedical malpractice. The quality of medical appraisement is not goodenough.It gives some suggestions and ideas which are aimed to resolve themedical disputes in a rapid, fair, regular way, and ease the tension ofdoctor-patient relationship, and build a harmonious doctor-patientrelationship, and build a harmonious socialist society.
