Three-dimensional Digital Dental Casts

With 3D measure technology and computer technology developing , stomatology to tooth, jaw observation, survey and description from 2D qualitative description to quota description and gradually from 2D quota description to qualitative description. Now stomatology enters the stage of 3D accurate quota measure and analysis for tooth, tooth jaw and side.Tooth Jaw Model 3D Laser Measure System has the virtue of high precision ,simple manipulation, high efficiency, rich measure content, in favor of storage and management of model data ,etc. Using LSH400 3D Measurement 3D Laser Scanner System, I obtained 3D point cloud data of tooth jaw. To carry on the following work, the data gathered would be carried on preliminary processing: deleting the useless point data and carries on point cloud joining together.Based on the laser measure point cloud data, taking the use of the knowledge of Computer Graphics, we realizes a set not relying on the data test method's display system by programming . The program includes the foundation structure design, the 3D image inversion display and the double buffers display as well as the color set. Through writing down the initial data obtained from the laser survey, we established the tooth cast corresponding 3D figure model in the computer. After making sure appropriate geometry alternation, the view point and the line of sight, the projection alternation and view port transformation, they are demonstrated in the window, and realized the double buffer demonstration and so on the special effect in this foundation.According to the digital tooth cast characteristic, the digital tooth cast medicine understood has conducted the research. And has established the procedure which the related digital tooth cast processes, convenient dentist logarithm according to tooth cast medicine specialized observation, survey and diagnosis.
