The above of 10 years of the diabetes mellitus(DM) course ofillness about 50% complicate the diabetic nephropathy(DN), addingannually end-stage renal disease (ESRD) the comparison caused by DMthat have increased year by year. diabetic nephropathy coursed by"Xiao Ke" in the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) theory, is"the complicating diseas" of "Xiao Ke" According of itsclinical manifestation and the feature of pathogenesis, it belongsto "lumbago, edema, dizzy, frequent vomiting and dysuria, fatigue"and so on in TCM. Professor Yu Shijia considers deficiency is theroot of diabetic nephropathy onset, including of deficiency ofQi-Yin and deficiency of Yin-Yang, and turbid damp and stasis is thebranch. Position of disease onset is mainly Kidney and Spleen, andto involve in Five Zang-Viscera. His backlog abundant clinictreatment experience, eombining the laboratory physics andchemistry check at the same time, provide us the new TCMdifferentiation of symptoms and signs for classification of syndromeand new methods of combined treatment of traditional Chinesemedicine and western medicine. To observe the clinicaleffect oftreating DN by TCM combined with Western medicine. Based on DM diet,exercising, controlling blood glucose, regulating blood-fat, 30cases of DN patients are treated by DN Formula (100ml/d) for 3 months,and at the same time treated by ACEI. Urine protein, urea nitrogen,creatinine, FBG, BP and blood-fat are checked out at thepre-treatment and post-treatment. After treatment, these indexesare better. To indicate better effect of TCM with Western medicineon decreasing urine protein, BUN, Cr and regulating metabolism ofglucose and fat. Professor Yu Shijia combining modern medicine tocontrol blood glucose, blood pressure and blood fat. And we havereceived the prominent curative effect in the clinic.
