Integrative Medicine, Clinical Observations, Treatment Of Dilated Cardiomyopathy Heart Failure

Objective: To observe the curative effects of Qiangxinning decoction combined with western medicine in treating congestive heart failure(CHF) following dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM). And explore the pharmacological mechanism.Methods: 50 patients with CHF following DCM were colleted and randomly divided into the treatment group and the comparison group. Conventional treatment was given to both groups. On this basement, the patients in treated group were treated with Qiangxinning decoction. One period of the treatment was two weeks. The DCM symptoms, ECq symptoms, also heart rate, left ventricular diastolic diameter and ejection fraction were all observed before and after the treatment.Results: The clinical effects and ECq symptoms effects of the treated group were. more increased than the controlled group significantly(P＜0.05). And there were different improvement of heart rate, left ventricular diastolic diameter and ejection fraction in both groups after the treatment(P＜0.05～＜0.01). The effects of heart rate and ejection fraction in the treated group were better than that of the controlled group(P＜0.05).Conclusion: There were assuredly curative effects of Qiangxinning decoction combined with western medicine in treating CHF following DCM. Not only it could improve CHF symptoms, reduce dilatation of ventricle, but also improvethe patients' life. It was more valuabe thanthe single western medicine treatment.
