The studies on chemical constituents of medical plants of folk were involved in this thesis. They were the study on chemical constituents of Cynanchum stauntonii and the study oh chemical constituents of Pachysandra axillaries.Thirty-one compounds had been isolated from this two medical plants of folk by the means of traditional phytochemical methods. Twenty-six compounds were identified by spectroscopic analysis together with physicochemical data among of them. Six alkaloids were included in these compounds, the others were isolated from this two plants for the first time, except for SYL-1.Ten compounds were isolated from ethyl acetate and butan-1-ol solved portion of alcohol extraction of Cynanchum stauntonii and seven compounds were identified asβ-sitosterol(SYL-1), 1-(2', 4'-Dihydroxphenyl)ethanone(SYL-2), resorcinol(SYL-3), 1-(4'-hydroxy-3'-methoxyphenyl)ehanone(SYL-4), 1-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)ethanone (SYL-5), oleanolic acid(SYL-6), sucrose(SYL-7). The others compounds were isolated from this plant except from SYL-1.Twenty-one compounds were isolated from ethyl acetate and butan-1-ol solved portion of alcohol extraction of Pachysandra axillaries and nineteen compounds were identified as tetracosanoic acid(sjm-1),β-sitosterol(sjm-4), 3, 21-friedelanediol(sjm-5), methyl24-oxoolean-12-en-28-oate(sjm-6), nonacosan-l-ol(sjm-8), methyl3-oxo-friedooleanan-28-oate(sjm-9), friedooleanan-27-oate(sjm-10), Friedelinol(sjm-12), methyl3-oxo-4-hydrogen- methyl-3- hydroxyl- friedooleanan-28-oate(sjm-13), ursolic acid (sjm-14), emodin(sjm-16), triacontane(sjm-17), daucosterol(sjm-18), spiropachysine A(sjm-20), sarcovagine D(sjm-21), Epi-pachysamine D(sjm-25), Sarcorine(sjm-26), 17-(1-(dimethylamino)ethy)-hexadecahydro-10, 13-dimethyl-1H-cyclopenta[a]phenanthrene-12, 16-diol (sjm-28), axillarine E(sjm-30). All of them were isolated from this plant for the first time.The bioactivity showed that four alkaloids (sjm-20, sjm-21, sjm-25, sjm-26) from Pachysandra axillaries have anti-tumour activity...
