Near infrared spectroscopy (NIR) is a new and reliable quantitative and qualitative analysis method to organics, by using the chemometricsly tools to analyze the information showed in the NIR spectrum.Fast quantitative analysis the medicine and foods using near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy was studied in this paper. Near infrared diffuse reflectance spectrophotometry (NIRDRS) and PLS(partial least squares) regression were applied to set up four quantitative models: determination of erythromycin A in erythromycin enteric-coated tablets,determination of diazepam in diazepam tables,determination of fat and protein in milk power for infant and young children,determination of Gentiopicrin in Gentiana macrophylla Pall.. Applying these models to predict the validation set and detect the samples. The relative deviation of prediction set predicted with quantitative models of erythromycin enteric-coated tablets didn't exceed±2.0%, the relative deviation of prediction set predicted with quantitative models of diazepam tables didn't exceed±6.0%, the relative deviation of prediction set predicted with quantitative models of fat didn't exceed±5.5%, the relative deviation of prediction set predicted with quantitative models of protein didn't exceed±6.5%,the relative deviation of prediction set with predicted quantitative models of Gentiana macrophylla Pall. didn't exceed±8.5%.In addition, fast qualitative analysis the fake drugs without broken using near infrared (NIR)spectroscopy was studied in this paper. NIR spectroscopy was used for quality analysis with the cardiovascular system medicine as examples. The qualitative analysis model was established by using NIR diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and Principal component Analysis (PCA).Using this model, can make a qualitative analysis of Lovastatin, Simvastatin, Pravastatin and Atorvastatin simultaneously. Verificated the models by test 34 batch samples, the correct rate of the model is 100%.Fast quantitative analysis the medicine and foods and fast qualitative analysis the fake drugs without broken and using near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy were feasible. These experiments supply the science dependence for the basic level inspector fast analyzing the sample and controlling sample's quantity without broken, and show the NIR spectroscopy technology has a favourable perspective in synchronism quantity control.
