China At This Stage The Hospital Medical Risk Management Mechanism

Medical service is a high tech and high-risk business. Nowadays, Medical risk is the common problem against every government all over the world. In America, there are 44,000 to 98,000 patients dying from medical accidents every year, which costs 17 billion to 29 billion US dollars. In China, there are more than 2 billion people in medical services each year and the total misdiagnosed rate is about 27.8%. However, our country still hasn't set up authoritative monitor and pre-alarm system. Neither the governments nor the academic research institutes have mastered the data in relation to the national medical risk management. As a result, it becomes difficult to timely evaluate the medical risk degree in these medical institutions. Even worse, we can not send alert signals according to the pre-alarm mechanism. How to discover timely and dispose effectively various risks in the process of medical service and improve the quality of medical service ceaselessly has become an important and urgent subject in hospital management.This study has connected the research of risk problems and deep analysis of modern corporation risk factors with present medical risk problems in our country. And according to the large number of data from investigations on phenomena, this study systemically summarizes the basic characteristics and the causes of the medical risks, pointing out that the essential causation of medical risks is the insufficiency and disequilibrium of knowing the results of medical diagnosis, as well as the indeterminacy of the risk rate that followed. After exploring the deep meaning of medical risks, this study enumerates the basic situations and characteristics of our country's medical risks at present days, and makes analysis of different levels such as the distribution of medical resources, political and law environment, management of medical institutes, equipments of medical environment and patients' factors, etc., and then summarizes the conceptions and principals of medical risk management.
