Soothing Heat Side The Treatment Of Metabolic Syndrome

This study is divided into two parts: (1) The summaries of documents MS( Metabolic syndrome ) (2) Clinical observation on treatment of MS by ShuGanQingReFang.There are 2 summaries of documents. In the first part, the souse of the description on MS is showed, so was the development of the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)treatment on it in recent years including the therapeutic theory and modern study.The author analyzed the indication of MS with representative opinions and the progress on treatment of MS with TCM. the author summarized the current shortcomings and respected the future of treatment MS with TCM. In the second part, a summary is made on the definition, diagnostic standard, etiology, pathogenesis, investigation.In the part of clinical study, 60 cases of MS selected from Dongfang hospital of Beijing Chinese medicine university were divided into two groups randomly to identify the effect of ShuGanQingReFang , a kind of compound prescription. All the patients got basic treatment. The subject groups were treated with Metformin Tablets and the control groups were treated with ShuGanQingReFang. The therapeutic effectiveness was observed 8 weeks later.the result shows that ShuGanQingReFang has an effect to reduce the clinical symptom, blood sugar level before and after dinner, Triglyeride SBP, H-CRP,FIB and insulin resistance index . In reducing clinical symptoms, lowing Triglyeride, SBP,H-CRP and FIB , the effect of ShuGanQingReFang is superier to Metformin Tablets. Reducing blood sugar, Adjusting Triglyeride, reducing H-CRP, FIB and adjusting insulin resistance maybe the main effect of ShuGanQingReFang on prevention and treatment of MS.
