The World Industry In The Town Of Schistosomiasis Longitudinal Observation Study

Dantu County (Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province) was one of the eight lognitudinal epidemiological investigation for prevalence of schistosomiasis by Agricultry Institute. Many infection factors have been investigated in Shiye town since 1993 according to Agricultral anti- schistosomiasis committee, and achieved many information by hard work.Concerning infection rate of schistosomiasis, animals had high infection rate when grazing and living in high density of positive snail, and with seasonal character. In grazed season, infection examination can be shown none if preventive chemical treats were done every 45 day according to the live history of schistosomiasis. In intension of infection, the error of intension was correlated with the number of treated animals and related with contacted time of water and preventive chemical treats. Animals can infect when grazed in positive snail distribution, also can reinfection. Infected animals can form new positive snail distribution when herd in snail area. The beach of Yangtze River was contaminated by cattle's dung, the next were dog's dung and night soil. Positive infection rate of animal's dung were consistent with artificial snail collected. Snail diffused along with water, density of snail was changed by breeding environment. Annihilation of snail by chemistry and agricultural project can reduce its density efficiently. Negative results were got through many annihilate mice actions. Workers can infect schistosomiasis when contact loimic water directly. E. g. Flood prevention, halieutics, pluck leaves of bulrush. The positive correlation were found between mass infection rate and livestock infection rate.Concerning prevention and cure measurements, we adopted chain of command, propaganda and education, change the manner of watering and toilet, destroy snail by agriculture project, adjust breed structure, popularize machine instead of cattle, preventive chemical treats and so on. These measurements not only decrease epidemic situation, but also accelerate economic development, and reach the intention of controlling schistosomiasis.The information and conclusion of the paper were appropriate for future establishing anti- schistosomiasis strategies.
