The Menopause Estrogen Receptor In Rats And Related Factors Affect The Experimental Research Of Acupuncture And Moxibustion

"Treat disease before it arises"with accupuncture and moxibustion is called"Preventive acupuncture and Preventive moxibustion".The method which embodies the character of accupuncture and moxibustion is commonly used in practice.It refers to stimulation of qi and blood within meridians when a person is healthy or before the disease arises,and the self-health force and emergency ability within the body will be strengthened so that health protection or alleviation of diseases and disorders could be achieved. Profuse accient Chinese medicine books describe a lot about the function of"Preventive acupuncture and Preventive moxibustion".Menopause is the regular physiological transitional period to women from young to old.It refers to disorders of neuroendocrine and metabolism and changes of female sexual hormones and the expressions of their receptors.In chinese medicine ,it is regarded that menopause is caused by insufficiency of kidney essence,exhaustion of"tiangui",imbalance of yin and yang.Many reserches indicate that acupuncture and moxibustion and chinese herbs can improve the secretion of female sexual hormones and the expressions of their receptors and regulate the functions of nervous systerm and immune systerm.Our reserch has validated that"Preventive acupuncture and Preventive moxibustion"to guanyuan point can improve the disorders of sex hormones and blood lipid to some extent so that it can strengthen the immune function ,delay the decrepitude of uterus and protect one's health. On the base of these ,the paper researchs the relation between ER and menopause from theoretics and experiment. The following thesis will discuss its mechanism in protecting function through observing the effects on the receptor of female sex hormones and other factors in uterus,hypothalamus and spleen.There were two kinds of animal models of menopause in the experiment ,one was made by ovariectomy and the other was natual aging.Preventive acupuncture and preventive moxibustion were applied seperately to different groups. A lot of advanced techniques such as radio-immunity,HE stain ,immuno-histochemistry,in situ hybridization were used to observe the effect on the expressions of ER-αand ER-αmRNA in hypothalamus, spleen and uterus in two kinds of models. (The natual aged rats were in 12th,14 th and 16th,month.)
