In order to clarify the phenomenon which Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz.often confuses, this article conducts the comparison research with the different method to in Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz's chemical composition, by reforms radically.Uses the steam distillation extraction method and simultaneous distillation extraction method to extract Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz's volatile oil, conducts the analysis research using GC-MS to discover The steam distillation extraction method obtains Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz.'s volatile oil which has 7 kind of components to be same; The simultaneous distillation extraction method obtains Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz's volatile oil which has 11 kind of components to be same, although their volatile oil components have same place, but majority components actually are different, and their volatile oil effects are also different This article also studied Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz's fatty acids by GC-MS. The results show that Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz's fatty acids are very similarThe ultrasonic method is employed in extracting flavonoids of Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz. The structure appraisal discover that Lycopus lucidu's flavonoid belongs to dihydro flavone or the dihydro flavonol alcohol and that Eupatorium fortunie Turcz's flavonoid belongs to flavone. Through the ultrasonic method to carry on single factor condition screening and the orthogonal experiment, the optimum technical conditions are obtained. This paper has determined Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz's flavonoid contents that is 44.24mg/g and 3235mg/g at absorption peak (λ=283. lnm, λ=270.0nm) by Ultraviolet spectrophotometric method. The results show that the recovery and the coefficient of variation are high. The results of this method are ture and reliable and sensitive and this method save sample. Carries on the analysis comparison in Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz's chemical composition to discover that their chemical compositions really have minority same place,but their effects are different Therefore, Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz. cannot confuse.This article has conducted the quite systematic comparison researches in Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz's chemical compositions, analyzing the received results more completely. We can distinguish them from chemical compositions. The paper is scientific methods to the research on Lycopus lucidus and Eupatorium fortunie Turcz. and to the rational development of them.
