Medical Image Fusion, And Algorithm Research

Medical image fusion research domain is crossed mutually by contemporary information science, computer science and the medical image science; it is a hot discussion of the medical image-processing domain.The image fusion technique related to the following subjects image registration, image fusion and quality evaluation of fused image.In Chapter 1, development history, application and worth in clinic are introduced briefly. Then, research background and importance of this dissertation are explained.In Chapter 2, theoretical research of multi-modality imaging is introduced, characteristic of multi-modality medical imaging and necessity of fusion are analyzed.In Chapter 3, the theory of medical image registration is introduced, in the foundation, carrying on experiment with the maximization of mutual Information in various medical image on this foundation.In Chapter 4, arithmetic principles and characteristics related to the medical image fusion are introduced, after that the experiment are taken to implement the theory.In Chapter 5, various evaluations of the fusion results are adopted, from which we can see that the superior fusion is the best method.In Chapter 6, the whole work is summarized and the further development is pointed out too.
