| Written by Li Gao in Jin Dynasty, Treatise on Spleen and Stomach is characterized by prescribing and modifying according to seasons. The regulation of prescription in Treatise on Spleen and Stomach on the basis of seasons has been summarized and deducted in this paper, while the analysis of the Li Gao's medical theory and his views towards treatment has also been included. Finally, the study on the combination of prescription and herb's modification and the character of the seasons and climate help understand the pith of TCM philosophy such as human body's correspondence to the nature, conception of integrity and the conception of perpetual mutation and transformation. The emphasis on the correlation of prescription and the seasons should be located in the substantial laws of Li Gao's ideas rather than the rote of each case for the variance of all successfiil treatment methods is unexceptionally derived from the soul of dialectic in traditional Chinese medicine. |
