Objective: To develop the effective therapy for atrial fibrillation (AF),and study the mechanisms of Dingxin capsule .To elucidate the role of L-type Ca2+ channel(LTCC) and extracellular signal-regulated kinases(ERK2) and mRNA express level of LTCC and ERK2 in the pathogenesis of AF.Methods: 40 rats were randomized to 4 groups: normal control group, model group. Dingxin capsule curatio group. Verpamil intervention group. mRNA express level of LTCC and ERK2 of AF rats were measured.Results: The results showed that mRNA express level of LTCC of Dingxin capsule curatio group heightened more obviously than those from Verpamil intervention group. And mRNA express level of ERK2 of Dingxin capsule curatio group degraded more obviously than those from Verpamil intervention group.Conclusion. LTCC and ERK2 played important role in the pathogenesis of AF. Dingxin capsule could correct the mRNA express level of LTCC and ERK2 in AF rats.
