Objective : To search the clinical value of local application of urokinase and compare the therapeutic efficacy of two drug administration in the treatment of deep vein thrombosis in the lower extremity. Methods: 40 patients with DVT were divided into four groups. Group A: treated with heparin via the distal superficial vein ; Group B: treated with heparin and urokinase via the distal superficial vein; Group C: administered with heparin via the distal superficial vein; Group D: administered with heparin and urokinase by micro pumping via the distal superficial vein. Then the MVO/SVC ratio , and the difference of perimeter between the suffered limb and the healthy one during the treatment (at before treatment , 7 day ,14 day after the beginning of the treatment ) was detected as the index of therapeutic effect. At the same time , monitoring the degree of the complication .Results: Difference of perimeter between two legs decreased significantly in after treatment (7 day ,14 day) compared with that in the initial; The MVO/SVC ratio was manifest improved than that before treatment; Doppler ultrasound showed part recanalization was 27 and absolute recanalization was 8 . During the treatment we did not observe manifest complication. Conclusion: The therapeutic effect of treating DVT with heparin and urokinase was better than that with heparin, and the administration route by micro pumping have an advantage via intravenously guttae from peripheral vein.
