| [Objective] To better characterize its effect find the effect on treatment of AIDS and understand its mechanism, therefore it is necessary to a further study on it.[Method] Twenty adult HIV/AIDS patients who have been receiving theanti-retrovirus drugs were divided into two groups at random , of whom the HIV load< 500 copies/ml, one group received HAART plus the yiqihuoxue granules (Chinesetraditional medicine) and the control receive the placebo and HAART, the patients'clinical manifestation, as well as the quality of life. Meanwhile exam the bloodroutine, urine routine, live and kidney function, X-ray of chest, and ECG. physicalsigns, blood T lymphocyte subgroup, the virus load were followed, by enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect cytokines( IL-2,IL-4, IL-10, INF-γ) in serum.[Result] The initial integration of clinical symptoms and physical signs in theyiqihuoxue granules group and the control group was respectively 21.7 ± 5.0 and 19.9± 5.8, (P > 0.05 ) ; at the 3rd month is 14.7 ± 3.2and 18.4 ± 4.4, (P < 0.05 ); the 6thmonth is 7.6± 1.8 and 15.3±3.0 (P<0.001 ); difference between Pretherapy andpost-treatment in the drug group. And is significant different, so did experiment andcontrol (P < 0.001 and P < 0.05). T lymphocyte subgroup the percentage CD3 ofpatient at 0 month, the 3rd month, the 6th month was 65.1 ± 18.5and 65.5 ± 13.9; 68.7± 9.9 and 69.7 ± 14.9; 66.4 ± 10.4 and 60.0 ± 14.9 respectively; CD4 of patient at 0month, the 3rd month, the 6th month was 11.0 ± 7.5and 12.3 ± 14.8; 14.7 ± 10.1 and7.8 ± 4.4; 16.2 ± 8.9and 10.6 ± 6.2 respectively ; CD8 of patient at 0 month, the 3rdmonth, the 6th month was 45.4 ± 12.1and 43.7 ± 17.5; 46.9 ± 9.1and 52.5 ± 16.1; 45.8± 10.7and 46.3 ± 11.0 respectively. The percentage of CD3, CD4, and CD8 in thedrug group was not different during the treatment period, but the CD4 in the 0 monthwith the 6th month .but the control data are no difference except the CD4 in the 3rdmonth with the 6th month. The drug group and the control are no difference in thewhole course. The CD4+T absolute counting (number/ul) at 0 month was 134 ±98.85and 115.3 ± 98.6; 273.6 ± 221.2 at the 3rd month and 121.75 ± 83.2; 344.4 ±220.3at the 6th month and 161.2 ± 117.4, at the 0 month and the 3rd month were noconspicuous difference, and the 6th month is obvious difference (t=2.313,p=0.045).the concentration of cytokines IL-2 in drug/placebo was 87.49 ± 9.78and 84.97 ± 7.86at 0 month; 79.53 ± 26.12and 87.07 ± 23.01 at the 3rd month; 87.68 ± 11.69and 87.36± 12.24 at the 6th month, IL-4 in drug/placebo was 293.8 ± 77.3and 284.5 ± 102.7;245.2 ± 49.9and 296.8 ± 47.7 at the 3rd month; 257.6 ± 68.3and 223.7 ± 54.9 at the 6thmonth, IL-10 in drug/placebo was 55.2 ± 32.8and 4.6 ±36.1 at 0 month; 55.9 ±14.9and 48.7 ± 24.15 at the 3rd month; 51.4 ± 14.5and 48.1 ± 21.5at the 6th month,INF-γ in drug/placebo was 17.84 ± 4.64and 15.63 ± 4.19 at 0month; 21.13 ± 7.7and15.2 ± 4.62 at the 3rd month; 18.9 ± 6.6and 15.8 ± 4.33 at the 6th month.
