Abstract/Summary:
Type â…¡ diabetes is a metabolic disorder whose pathological mechanism is complex. It occurs together with obesity, hypertension, hyperlipemia and atherosclerosis, which have been termed the metabolic syndrome. Among the diabetic vascular complications do harm the human's health. High glucose induces the development of diabetes as a single and significant factor. The function damage of vascular smooth muscle cells act as an important aspect of the diabetic vascular complications. This paper is based on the cultured vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) treated by high glucose. The proliferation and migration of VSMCs were observed by using RT-CES and Cell Station. Furthermore, the evaluation of drugs was founded.Above the research, we found that high glucose induced the abnormal proliferation of VSMCs. Astragaloside â…£ can distinguished decrease the dysfunction of VSMCs and inhibit the proliferation and migration of VSMCs.Based on above results, it is reasonable to draw conclusion as below: RT-CES can be applied to the real-time observation cell's status and the evaluation of Chinese traditional medicine. The cell station can be used to monitor the VSMCs' migration under the physiological and pathological conditions dynamically. Astragaloside â…£ can exert vascular protection by inhibiting VSMCs proliferation and migration of VSMCs. This model in vitro could be useful for the future studies on the research of the mechanism of cardiovascular disease, such as VSMCs' function, and drug screening.
