| Objective: To determine whether bupivacaine having the neurotoxicity in rabbits spine cord. Methods: After 3-day epidural administration of bupivacaine and observation, the rabbits were killed and excision spinal cord, and examined by election microscopy analysis. Results: There were no pathological changes in 1, 2 groups. Some reversible changes were found in 3,4,5 groups under electron microscopy. Conclusion : Epidural administration of bupivacaine has neurotoxicity to the spinal cord. |
