Angelica Intravenous has good curative effects to heart and brain blood vessel in clinic. Moreover, it has little side-effect and toxic- effect.Ferulic acid was isolated from Angelica Intravenous Injection and was identified by UV,IR, NMR, MS.To determinate ferulic acid in the Angelica Intravenous Injection with high-perfomance liquid chromatography(HPLC). A good linear correlation was shown when the concentration of ferulic acid lay within a range of 2-40μg.ml~-1, r=0.9991. The average rate of recovery was 99.12%(RSD=1.78%). The content of ferulic acid were 3.10μg.ml~-1,4.35μg.ml~-1,3.88μg.ml~-1. This method is easy to practice and convenient which can be used to determine ferulic acid contents in the Angelica Intravenous Injection. To determinate amino acids in the Angelica Intravenous Injection. The Angelica Intravenous Injection contains 15 kinds of amino acids. They are Aspartic, Threonine, Scrine, Tyrosine, Phenylalanine, Glutamic Acid, Methionine, Lysine, Arginine, Isolcucine, Alanine, Glycine, Leucine, Valine, Cystine, between which the higest concentrations in free form appears as Argine and lowest as Glycine; the highest total concentration falls to Glucine and lowest to Lysine. The Angelica Intravenous Injection contains various kinds of amino acids and certain kinds of them such as Argine and Glucine, appear in hign concentrations, which may explain certain clinical effects of this preperation. The model of rat cerebral ischemia is established by legate the rats' carotid. Rats were given the Angielica intravenous injection's separate segments Angi-S and Angi-Y respectively. Later 2 weeks the content of Nitric Oxide and SOD in cerebrum, Nitric Oxide and MDA in serum were determined. Observe the effect of the Angielica intravenous injection's separate segments Angi-S and Angi-Y to the rats which were the models of cerebral ischemia . Both the separate segments Angi-S (p<0.05) and Angi-Y (p<0.05 ) could increase the content of SOD in cerebrum, decrease the content of Nitric Oxide in cerebrum; Angi-S (p<0.05 ) could decrease the content of MDA inrats' serum. The Angelica intravenous injection's separate segments Angi-S (/K0.01) and Angi-Y (/K0.01) could decrease the amount of solidified-contract Nerve Cells in rats' cerebrum, cortex. And Angi-S (/?<0.05 ) could decrease the amount of solidified-contract Nerve Cells in rats' cerebrum.hippocampus hi area.
