Shaoganbugua Capsule includes the herbs below: Radix Paeoniae Alba, Radix Glycyrrhiza and Pawpaw. The Capsule have the effects of relaxing the muscles and tendons, expelling wind-dampness, and relieving spasm and pain. It is applied mainly to treat spasm of the leg and foot. On the ground of the effects of the prescription and property of the effective ingredients, I systematically studied Preparation process, Quality standard and Preliminary Stability.Taking the contents of Paeoniflorin, Flavonoids of Glycyrrhiza, n-butanol extraction and amount of dry extract cream as the evaluation indexes, the procedure of extraction, purification, concentration and dryness of Paeony, Glycyrrhiza and pawpaw was studied with orthogonal test and mono-factorial test. In the capsule procedure research, the category and amount of addendum was confirmed through moisture absorption test and the mobility of powder was improved through making pellet. In Quality Standard research, TLC was adopted to distinguish Liquorice and pawpaw. Besides the general quality inspection of the capsule, still GC method has been adopted to inspect remainder of macroporous adsorbing resin. HPLC method has been adopted to measure the content of Paeoniflorin in finished product, and the according limits have also been formulated.Establish the quality standard of extraction, and stipulate corresponding quality index. In Stability research, 3 batches products were used for the investigation from one to three month, result every index accorded with stipulation.Research result shows: The preparation process of this preparation is reasonable and feasible, the quality is stabilized, and the product accord with the need of this illness treatment.
