The principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) are based on the information obtained from four diagnostic processes, namely, inspection, auscultation and olfaction, inquiry, as well as palpation. As the important content of inspection, pulse diagnosis is necessary means for acquiring the patient information. However, there is no uniform standard to quantify and standardize this information. This dissertation is granted by ZiBo KeFeng Co. Ltd, which investigates the key technology for pulse standardization based on "Kings' pulse Theory" and modern digital singal processing. In the pulse collection research, we design an automatic delamination measurement system based on "Kings' pulse Theory" and modern detecting and singal processing techniques. In order to implement the real-time digital signal acquisition, our system utilizes PCI data collecting card to convert analog pressure data to the digital data, then the PC software analyses and displays the pulse signal. In the pulse analysis research, above all, the system eliminates the baseline drift of pulse waveform used by a new adaptive filter based on Meyer wavelet transform proposed in this paper. Then the standardized pulse signal is acquired. The system analyses the pulse in the time domain, cepstrum, power spectrum and subband' s energy. Especially subband' s energy analysis is innovative for its applying to pulse diagnosis. Based on time domain and frequency domain analysis, we remain the most discriminating features after feature selection. These features are inputted into SVM classifer to recognize the typical seven pulse types. The experiments also showed that the results of pulse computer diagnosis are consistent with the experienced TCM doctors' diagnosis.
