Spleen Qi On Treatment Of Functional Dyspepsia Syndrome Of Spleen

Functional dyspepsia (FD) is a common group of digestive system's symptoms which was caused by non-organic diseases. There is no very effective method to treat it and its pathogenesis is still uncertain for the time being. Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) have a plentiful of experience on treating FD . The effect is clear and the sideeffect is small. After summing up my tutor's experience ,we carried out the clinical study. The objective of this study is to observe the clinical treatment effect of the prescription of invigorating spleen with regulating QI and promoting blood circulation(PIGP) on FD of spleen-deficiency and qi-stagnation, controling with traditional medicine of the pill of ZhiZhu .And through detect the gastrin, motilin and gastric emptying, the mechanism was further investigated.In the clinical study, 80 patients were divided into two groups randomly. There are 50 patients in the treatment group,treated by the prescription of PIGP. And 30 patients in the control group, treated by the pill of ZhiZhu. The treatment period is 4 weeks. And the clinical symptoms, gastrin, motilin and gastric emptying results are evaluated before and after the treatment. The results showed: both the group improved the overall symptom effectly. The overall effective rate is 88% of PIGP and superior to the control group significantly (P<0.01). The single effective rate on symptom improvement showed: epigastric fullness accounted for 91.67%, abdominal pain accounted for 85%, early satiety accounted for 91.49%, inertia accounted for 90.48%, anorexia accounted for 88.89%. All those were superior to the control group. There were no significant difference on belch and nausea between two group. In the treatment group, the gastrin and motilin were significantly increased than that of before treatment. In the treatment group, there are 42% patients with delayed gastric emptying. After the treatment, 85.7% patients got normal gastric emptying in these cases.This study indicated that the prescription of PIGP could obviously improve the patients' clinical symptoms. Both the overall effective rate and some of the single effective rate in the treatment group were superior to those in the group of pill of ZhiZhu. PIGP could stimulat the secretion of gastrin and motilin, improve the gastric emptying. The study hint that PIGP has the role of adjusting the movement of gastrointestine. For the patients with normal gastric emptying, the clinical symptoms were also improved,so we estimate it play a part in a different mechanism.
