Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang Regulate Gastrointestinal Motility In Rats

Dysfunction of gastrointestinal motility belongs to the syndrome of pi and marked by the simultaneous occurrence of cold and heat, deficiency the stomach due to stagnation of phlegm, incoordination between the liver and the spleen, insufficiency of the spleen-yang and stagnation of qi. This research has studied the ancient prescriptions of regulating the stomach in accordance with syndrome of pi in clinic as following: Banxia Xiexin Tang(with the effcts of cold and heat properties, relieving distension and fullness).Accroding the experiments such as: gastric emptying rate of methyl orange on mouse ; the experiment of gaslro graph on rat that being empty stomch; the experiment of the amplitude of gastric peristaltic wave; the experiment of the small intestine motility on mouse;the experiment of the gastrointestinal hormone on rat; we can research how Banxia Xiexin Tang promote gastrointestinal motility.The experiment of gastric emptying rate of metlyl orange on mouse has showed that Banxia Xiexin Tang could promote the gastric emptying rate of methyl orange, they and normal saline were remarkable difference (p<0.05 p<0.01).The experiment of gastro graph on rat has showed that being empty stomch, Banxia Xiexin Tang could obviously promote the frequency of gastric peristaltic wave, they and normal saline were remarkable difference (p<0.05 p<0.01);Banxia xiexin Tang could enhance the amplitude of gastric peristalticwavc(p<0.05 p<0.01).And being ah lib,Banxia Xiexin Tang could incicase the frequency of gastric peristaltic wave(p<().05 p<().()l).The experiment of the small intestine motility on mouse has showed that Banxia Xiexin Tang could markly push the charcoal powder forward, they and normal saline were remarkable difference(p<0.05 p<0.01).The experiment of the gastrointestinal hormone on rat has showed: Banxia Xiexin Tang could promote the gastrointestinal motility sharply because they could increase the releasing of the Motilin(MTL), gastrii(GAS) and inhibit the secreting of vascular inactive peptide VIP).
