The multifocal electroretinogram (mERG) is one kind of retinal function examination begun from 90s in the last century. It can be used to record many focal electroretinogram responses in a relatively short period of time. Although this technique is relatively new, it has already provided insights into the mechanisms of retinal disease accurately. mERG can be used to objectively and sensitively observe the curative effect of medicine or surgery. In this paper, one kind of arithmetic of how to extract local responses from the retina's different regions is given by the fast walsh-hadamard transform algorithm and the cross-correlation technique, which utilized the pseudorandom features of m-sequence. Based on application mathematics and computer technology, The software emulator is programmed by Visual C++ using VERIS retina signals, after that, the signals from clinic are disposed. The results show that this arithmetic can extract local signals right and fleetly. In the end, the atithmetic is changed into engineering, the detecting and extracting software is designed. The production can provide some help to the decelopment and application for mERG.
