Clinical Studies, Acupuncture Treatment Of Ischemic Stroke Of Bushenhuoxue France

Objective:To observe the influence of acupuncture invigorating the kidney and activating blood circulation on blood lipids and hemorrheologic in patients wiith ischemic apoplexy, according to which study the therapeutic mechanism and provide a more effective and practical method and scientific basis on it. Methods:60 cases of patients with ischemic apoplexy, proved by CT were randomly divided into 2 groups: the treatment group, comprised 30 patients treated with the acupuncture invigorating the kidney and activating blood circulation method; the consulting group, which was composed of 30 cases who were treated with the common acupuncture method. we marked physical signs and tested blood lipids and hemorrheologic before and after treatment, then studied the differences. Results:1 Clinical Evaluation To the treatment group, the remarkably effective rate 93.4% and the improved rate 96.7%; those of the consulting group were 70%, 93.3% respectively. There were significant differences between the two groups (p<0.05) according to the analysis with Ridit. Obviously, the former was superior to the latter.2 The Changes Of Average Integrals Of Physical Signs After treatment, as far as average integrals of physical signs were concerned, the marks of two groups decreased; while in those of the treatment group, compared with those of the consulting group, the marks reduced highly remarkably. There were significant differences in dropping average integrals of physical signs between two groups (p<0.05). As a result, the treatment group was superior to the consulting group.3 The Changes Of Blood Lipids Both groups had the same trend of changes: the levels of CHOL, TG and LDL were decreased, while HDL was increased. For the treatment group, all the post-treatment indexes had significant differences compared with the pre-treatment ones (p<0.05), as well as the consulting group; while CHOL, TG and LDL reduced highly significantly and HDL rised highly notably, comparedwith the consulting group(p<0.05). Consequently, in the way of regulating levels of blood lipids, the treatment group was better than the consulting group.4 The Alteration Of Hemorrheologic Indexes After treatment, in both groups, the indexes of high sheer viscosity, low sheer viscosity, plasma viscosity, RBC hematocrit and RBC aggression were decreased, while erythrocyte deformability index increased. It indicated that both of them altered hemorrheologic state well. To the extent of ameliorating hemorrheologic indexes, the treatment group improved higher than the consulting group, and there were significant differences between two groups (p<0.05) according to the statistical analysis. It meant that the treatment group had better function on adjusting hemorrheologic than the consulting group. Conclusion:The method of invigorating the kidney and activating blood circulation by acupuncture can not only release apparently physical signs of patients, but also improve the indexes of blood lipids and hemorrheologic. The results showed that the treatment group had better therapeutic effect than the consulting one. The highly cohesive blood state is similar to the conception of "blood stasis" in TCM; the improvement of blood lipids and hemorrheologic indexes is equal to the amelioration of highly cohesive blood state, which is identified with "acupuncture invigorating the kidney and activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis" in TCM. That suggests the improvement of blood lipids and hemorrheologic acts as a functional mechanism of treating ischemic apoplexy with the acupuncture method. Otherwise, it helps each other and has a positive effect on ischemic apoplexy patients that "the acupuncture invigorating the kidney method" is combined with "the acupuncture activating blood circulation method". These surely confirm the therapy method is scientific and practical and worth applying further.
